What if I told you that your wardrobe could probably create far more outfits than you think?

Not because you need more clothes.

But because you've simply run out of combinations.

It happens to all of us.

We find a few outfits that work, wear them on repeat, and before long our wardrobe starts feeling... boring.

That's usually when we convince ourselves we need to go shopping.

A new pair of jeans.

A different blazer.

Another white shirt.

But here's something I've learned.

Most wardrobes don't have a clothing problem.

They have a combination problem.

The truth is, many of us already own the pieces needed to create dozens of outfits—we just don't always know how to put them together.

That's where outfit formulas come in.

Instead of asking,

"What should I buy next?"

you start asking,

"What else can I create?"

Here are a few outfit formulas you can probably recreate using clothes already hanging in your wardrobe.

Outfit Formula #1

White Shirt + Straight-Leg Jeans + Loafers

One of the easiest formulas to recreate.

Already own these pieces?

Try changing just one item.

  • Swap the white shirt for a striped shirt.
  • Wear trainers instead of loafers.
  • Replace the jeans with tailored trousers.

Same formula.

Three completely different outfits.

Outfit Formula #2

Basic T-Shirt + Wide-Leg Trousers + Sandals

Simple doesn't have to mean boring.

This formula works because every piece balances the others beautifully.

Want to create more outfits?

Try swapping:

  • the T-shirt for a knit top
  • sandals for ballet flats
  • wide-leg trousers for linen trousers

Suddenly you've created several new combinations from the same formula.

Outfit Formula #3

Button-Down Shirt + Midi Skirt + Ballet Flats

If your wardrobe already has these pieces, you're halfway there.

Change the colour of the shirt.

Swap the skirt.

Add a belt.

Little changes can completely transform how an outfit feels.

Outfit Formula #4

Blazer + Basic Tee + Jeans + White Sneakers

One of those formulas you'll reach for again and again.

The blazer instantly pulls everything together.

Want another variation?

Replace the jeans with tailored trousers.

Or swap the sneakers for loafers.

The formula still works.

Outfit Formula #5

Knit Top + Tailored Trousers + Loafers

This is one of my favourite formulas because it's so versatile.

Perfect for work.

Perfect for lunch.

Perfect for days when you simply want to feel put together.

Change the knit.

Change the shoes.

Keep the formula.

Outfit Formula #6

Simple Dress + Denim Jacket + White Sneakers

One dress.

One jacket.

One pair of sneakers.

That's all you need.

When the weather changes, swap the jacket for a lightweight cardigan.

Or replace the sneakers with sandals.

Same dress.

Completely different outfit.

Can You See What's Happening?

None of these formulas required buying anything new.

Instead, each one showed you how the same pieces can work in different combinations.

That's the shift.

Instead of seeing your wardrobe as individual clothing items...

you begin seeing it as building blocks.

A white shirt isn't just one outfit.

It's the beginning of dozens.

A blazer isn't reserved for work.

It can dress up jeans, finish a dress, or elevate a simple T-shirt.

Once you start thinking this way, your wardrobe naturally begins to feel bigger.

Not because you've added more clothes.

Because you've discovered more possibilities.

Imagine Having 80+ Formulas Like These

The six formulas above are only a small sample.

Over time, I started collecting every combination that consistently worked.

Not trendy outfits that only looked good once.

But repeatable formulas I could come back to again and again.

That collection eventually became the Outfit Formula Library.

Inside you'll find more than 80 outfit formulas organised into categories like:

  • Work outfits
  • Everyday casual outfits
  • Layering combinations
  • Elevated looks
  • Smart casual outfits

So the next time you're standing in front of your wardrobe wondering what to wear, you won't have to start from scratch.

You'll already have a formula waiting for you.

The goal isn't to own a bigger wardrobe.

It's to get more from the wardrobe you already have.

And sometimes, the only thing standing between "I have nothing to wear" and "I have so many outfit options" is a better combination.
